What is the job opening?

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the social media activities for two brands: Fitizen and RealScience Athletics. 

Your role will involve managing the social media feeds for both brands, managing the content production process alongside the marketing team, making sure the content is on point and following current trends, creating and maintaining a social media schedule, writing copy for the posts, producing content using Canva or Photoshop.  

This is a full time role. We need someone with prior experience as a social media manager. We can train the right candidate on all skills necessary to complete the job, as long as you have a growth mindset and are competent.

What is Fitizen and RealScience Athletics?

Fitizen is a clothing brand which makes muscle fit clothing for athletes. We make casual clothes e.g. jeans, shirts and tees which are tailored for people with athletic body shapes. All products are made with performance fabrics which are as comfy as gym wear. Our ambition is to become the go-to brand for athletes worldwide for their clothes.

Both brands are growing and operations need to be handled by experts. We need someone who can help manage the social media accounts, to ensure we post regularly. We need someone who can create excellent content for both brands. Ensuring the social media accounts for both brands are updated regularly.

What is the job description?

Social Media Manager Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Create content for the social media feeds of Fitizen and RealScience Athletics. This includes brainstorming ideas of what to post, organising photoshoots for new content, producing content yourself on Canva or Photoshop, working with freelance video editors and graphics designers for more complex videos and posts.

Scheduling Posts: Organising a social media feed on a planning tool called Airtable. Making a schedule for weeks in advance to ensure we post on time, getting feedback on the posts, then scheduling and posting the content using Meta Business Suite. 

Help Founder With Personal Brand Posts: RealScience Athletics is a founder lead company. Sean Nalewanyj drives the sales for the brand. You will work directly with Sean to create a schedule for him to post about RealScience Athletics on his own feeds, stories, etc. You will track results of these posts and optimise them towards driving sales. 

Viral Content Scout: Scroll social media for trending topics and engaging videos which Sean can react to. 

Audience Engagement: Engage with audiences, for example, organising giveaways, getting feedback from customers, responding to comments, etc. 

Throughout this process you will work directly alongside the founder. Plus work with members of staff in marketing, product and customer support.

What are the skills and qualifications needed?

Hard skills 

Essential: Experience with admin roles, due diligence, attention to detail. Previous experience managing social media feeds.

Optional: Video editing, graphic design skills

Essential: growth mindset, healthy ego, determined and strong work ethic. Strong planning and organisation skills

Optional: funny and witty humour, for engaging with customers on social media
