What is Olympvs?

Olympvs is a clothing brand which makes muscle fit clothing for athletes. We make casual clothes e.g. jeans, shirts and tees which are tailored for people with athletic body shapes. All products are made with performance fabrics which are as comfy as gym wear. Our ambition is to become the go-to brand for athletes worldwide for their casual clothes.

Why are we hiring? 

This year we are scaling up and we’re creating an in-house marketing team. We need people who can help shoot, edit and manage the content production within Olympvs. That’s everything from video editing ads, producing graphics for our website or managing the production of blogs posts for our email list and site. 

What is the job opening?

We’re hiring for an in-house video editor who can produce and edit video ads for Olympvs. These ads will be used to advertise our products on social media and posted to our social media feeds.

The job will start as a part time video editor role. But the candidate will learn all the skills necessary to market an e-commerce brand. They will be taught how to edit ads for social media, mange our social media feeds, produce emails and blog posts. All forms of content.

The role will develop from part time video editor to full time content creator as fast as the candidate can handle the workload.

What is the job description?

The first phase will involve editing videos for paid social media ads. Researching angles and content we can shoot and editing variations which we can test and scale. 

Once you’re set-up to produce ads consistently, you will start to manage our social media channels. This involves researching topics of content, producing the content and managing (scheduling) all our social media feeds. 

Once you are managing content for ads and social media, you will help with the production of emails for our email list. You will strategise the campaigns we’re running and communicate this with our email manager. In this final stage, you will be our full time content manager and you will ensure the whole brand's content is in alignment across all platforms. 

Throughout this process you will work directly alongside the founder and other members of the marketing team. You will be trained by top tier marketing professionals (internally and externally) to learn about Meta ads, email marketing, content production, website conversions and more. 

By the end of this 2-6 month process, you will have transformed from a video editor to a full stack content and marketing manager. Once you’re in the full time role, you will manage campaigns which can sell products profitably online and at scale.

Each phase we will progress your skills and responsibilities. We’ll align compensation and bonuses with each phase once you hit targets. These can be discussed on the screening call and after the trial task has been completed (please see below).

What are the skills and qualifications needed? 

Hard skills 

Essential: Video editing skills 

Optional: Video and photo shoot skills, experience growing online audiences, graphic design skills, social media management experience, marketing knowledge 

Soft skills 

Essential: growth mindset, healthy ego, determined and strong work ethic 

Optional: attention to detail, humour and wit for edits, artistic taste for edits, 

You will need to showcase your past editing work in the onboarding form to be considered for this role.

Do not apply if…

Olympvs is a small business. We are driven by personal growth and we move very fast. We can train you on all the 'optional' hard skills needed. But you need to be hungry, be receptive to feedback, have a growth mindset and be able to improve quickly. 

If you have a history of not taking feedback well, don’t take accountability when you mess up, want to relax for the next 6 months+, or you don’t have the desire to develop into a content manager at lightening speed, please do not apply for this role. 

For the right candidate, this will be a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills and progress your career considerably quicker than within a larger organisation. But for many, the pressure to grow and produce results will not be a good fit.

We believe we can identify where you are now and bridge the gap on any hard skills and most soft skills you need - if you have the right mindset and approach to learning those skills. We are a very supportive and encouraging team, but we are simply too small to carry anyone who doesn’t get results.

Stage 3. Take on management of Olympvs content: social channels, blogs, emails, and more. Develop into a full time content creator. 

Stage 4. Undefined role: continue to work alongside marketing team to grow Olympvs into a globally recognised brand
