What are Muscle fit shirts?

Muscle fit refers to the unique proportions which our shirts are cut. They have extra room in the upper body, are fitted on the arms, and taper down to your waist. This has a selection of benefits for men with muscular body shapes:

• Athletes typically have wider necks, which are too large for standard neck openings. Our shirts are built with extra breathing room
• Our fit contours your upper body. This makes the shirts extra comfy, removes restriction when moving around and showcases your physique
• If a regular shirt fits your upper body, the arms and waist will probably have excess fabric – the ‘tent’ effect. Our shirts are tapered down your arms and waist, for a flattering V shape
• Our Hyper Stretch fabric is super comfy and allows unrestricted movement

Who are Muscle fit shirts designed for?

Muscle fit shirts are designed for muscular guys who want a form fitted shirt, which shows off their physique. A tight fitting shirts style, they are designed to fit closely from the athletes shoulders, down their arms, all the way to their wrist.

Fitizen athletic fit shirts are a muscle fit style, with slightly extra room through the body so they’re not skin tight. Our shirts maintain a tailored shape throughout the athletes body, arms and waist. Perfect for muscular guys when they’re not in the gym.

Our white muscle fit shirts are a popular style of shirt for bodybuilders. Our muscle fit formal shirts are a must have for rugby players and rowers, who want to look smart for their social events.

What is the difference between Athletic fit and regular fit shirts?

Compared to a regular fit shirt, athletic fit shirts have a wider neck, more room in the upper body, while staying tapered on the arms and slimmer on the waist.

A true athletic fit will be better for guys with a large ‘drop’. Where their waist is considerably smaller than their chest and arm measurements.

Is muscle fit the same as slim fit?

Slim fit shirts may be tapered on the waist, however, they do not have room for larger muscles. Therefore they may be restrictive and too tight for athletes. Muscle fit shirts are designed to fit closely from the athletes upper body, all the way down to their waist, with a tapered fit on their arms.

Fitizen shirts allow a tailored fit for muscular guys, without a skin wrapped appearance or constrained feeling.

What is considered an athletic body type?

Athletic body types have a desirable V shape to their frame. This means athletic bodies have a large ‘drop’ between their chest to waist measurements. Average guys may have an 0-2″ drop, with a 36″ chest and 34″ waist. While athletic shapes will have a much larger drop, around 6-10″, between their chest and waist measurements. For example, an athletic guy may have a 40″ chest and 32″ waist.

The Fitizen collection is designed specifically for guys with athletic body types. To have access to form fitted and flattering clothes, which shows off their muscular shapes.

Should I wear a tee under my shirt?

When wearing a muscle fit shirt, it is best to not wear a tee shirt underneath. The edges of the t shirt would show through on the arms of our long sleeve shirts – as our products are tight fitted shirts. This isn’t a good look.
